We slept on the Premier for two months, testing the plush euro-top feel, zoned support, motion isolation and cooling, and reading the warranty fine print.
A cashmere-blend top and a plush hotel feel usually mean a four-figure mattress. The DreamCloud Premier undercuts that: a quilted euro-top hybrid with gel memory foam over zoned coils that feels genuinely luxurious, for a mid-range price that is almost always on sale. It is medium-firm, supportive and cushioned in the way that suits most back and combination sleepers — and DreamCloud backs it with a full-year trial and a forever warranty. For value luxury, it is our pick.

The Premier is DreamCloud’s step-up hybrid, above the standard DreamCloud — a gel-memory-foam-and-coil mattress topped with a quilted, cashmere-blend euro top. The idea is a plush, hotel-style luxury feel at a price that undercuts the premium brands. At about 14 inches tall with roughly 1,000 zoned pocketed coils, it aims squarely at back and combination sleepers who want cushioning with support, without paying premium-brand prices.
From the top: a cashmere-blend quilted euro top gives an immediate plush, luxury hand-feel; beneath it, gel-infused memory foam cushions pressure points while managing heat; then transition foam; then an 8.5-inch pocketed coil core of around 1,000 springs in five zones for support and airflow. It is fibreglass-free and CertiPUR-US certified. The construction is conventional but well-executed — the cashmere top and the zoned coils are what create the ‘more expensive than it is’ impression.
The Premier reads medium-firm, around 6.5 out of 10, with a plush cushioned top over a supportive base. In our testing it cradled without swallowing — the euro top gives an initial softness, then the coils push back — which is the versatile feel that suits the largest share of sleepers. It is best for people in the roughly 150–230-pound range and for back and combination sleepers; very light or very heavy sleepers may find it slightly soft or firm respectively.
The five-zone coil unit is the support story: firmer coils under the midsection lift the hips and lumbar while the foam cushions the shoulders, keeping the spine level. In our testing back sleepers stayed well-supported and combination sleepers could change position without feeling stuck. It is a genuinely comfortable bed for the common back-and-combination sleeper; dedicated heavy-weight support seekers may want a firmer, coil-forward bed.
The memory-foam comfort layer absorbs movement well, so a restless partner is muted — good motion isolation for a hybrid, though not quite an all-foam bed. Edge support is solid thanks to the coil perimeter, so you can sleep and sit near the edge without much roll-off. For couples, it strikes a good balance between quiet motion and usable full-surface support at this price.
Being a coil hybrid helps temperature: the pocketed coils move air through the mattress, and the gel-infused memory foam is designed to resist the heat build-up plain memory foam suffers. In our testing it slept temperature-neutral for most people — cooler than an all-foam bed, though not as airy as an innerspring or a grid bed. Committed hot sleepers should note it is fine rather than exceptional on cooling; most sleepers will be comfortable.
DreamCloud’s value extends to its terms: the Premier ships compressed in a box, expands on your frame in a few hours, and comes with a 365-night trial — a full year — and a ‘Forever’ warranty. The fine print matters: sagging coverage requires a 1.5-inch impression threshold and, after year 10, coverage is prorated rather than full replacement. Still, a year-long trial plus long warranty at this price is a strong, low-risk package.
Against premium hybrids like the Helix Midnight Luxe or Saatva Classic, the DreamCloud Premier gives up some build refinement and white-glove service but delivers a similar plush-hotel feel for hundreds less. Against the cheaper standard DreamCloud, the Premier adds the cashmere top and more foam for a plusher feel. Against budget boxed beds, it clearly steps up on the luxury hand-feel. Its whole pitch is luxury feel at mid-range money.
At around $999 for a queen — the price it is almost always sold at — the Premier is a strong value: a cashmere-topped luxury hybrid for roughly half what premium brands charge for a comparable feel. The materials are conventional rather than exotic, but the execution and the terms make it punch above its price. For a shopper who wants that plush hotel feel without the premium-brand outlay, the value is excellent.
Buy it if you want a plush, cashmere-topped hotel feel with zoned support at a mid-range price, and you are a back or combination sleeper in the average weight range. Skip it if you want certified-organic materials, the very best cooling, or premium white-glove service — other beds do those better. For value-minded luxury, though, the DreamCloud Premier is hard to beat.
